Tenay Bartzis

Instructor/Choreographer

Tenay started dancing at the young age of 3 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  She moved to Kingston, Ontario at age 10 where she started dancing competitively across Ontario and in Florida, Las Vegas, New York and New Jersey receiving many awards.  Tenay’s passion for dance turned into a passion for teaching and with over 28 years of teaching experience she has trained dancers who have went on to dance professionally and has been acknowledged for her choreography and for her students receiving top marks.  Tenay trained and has taught in both BATD and ADAPT syllabi in Ballet, Jazz and Tap.  She loves teaching and choreographing in all disciplines with a special love for ballet, lyrical and contemporary.  Through her years of teaching, she has taught students ranging in ages 3-adult and is very eager to continue producing strong dancers and choreography.

Tenay not only strives to create a strong dancer in technique but works with her students on essential life skills such as team work, building self-esteem and being a healthy dancer.

Currently, Tenay has two little girls of her own who have both, naturally, displayed a passon for dance at a young age.
