Kayla Hay

Kayla Hay was born and raised in Amherstview and has been dancing since she was 2 years old. Kayla has taught dance for 5 years. After 23 years of dancing Kayla is so thrilled to be teaching under the direction of Melissa Ward. Kayla’s true dance passion is Tap however; she enjoys all forms of dancing.

In the past Kayla has danced competitively in Tap, Jazz and Ballet. Kayla once enjoyed taking classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe and Hip Hop. During her high school years Kayla won the Heart & Soul award at her studio and that confirmed to her how important it is to have dance in her life. Being a part of the dance community has taught Kayla to be confident, work hard and to love what you do. Dance has always been a major part of her life and she feels at home in the studio surrounded by tapping feet and pointed toes.

Kayla currently teaches students ages 3-9 and enjoys working with RDC’s beginner dancers. She lives in Amherstview and is a full time school teacher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School where she teaches Kindergarten. Kayla’s goal in her career and in her dance instruction is to foster children’s passions, ensure their happiness and to push them to work towards their highest potential.

At the studio you can find Kayla in the office, cleaning mirrors or dancing her heart out with her happy little dancers!
